New Jersey Deaf Housing will exhibit at the 21st Annual Supportive Housing Conference on December 6, 2019 in Somerset, NJ. The conference, sponsored by Supportive Housing Association (SHA) of New Jersey, brings together all those interested in the supportive housing market – from providers of services, to architects and builders, lenders, consumers and families, and government representatives. Typically, more than 400 people attend.

This year’s theme – Many Homes, One Community – Innovative Options for Supportive Living – spotlights two important driving forces: 1) the diversity of people in a community, and 2) the desire to expand the options for independence, choice and integration. The SHA website reports, “Our industry’s common goal – to see more people with limited income and different abilities find a home and thrive – continues to push the boundaries of our imagination and fuel our determination.”

Participation in the conference, the increased networking opportunities and the workshops offered all allow NJDH to expand our knowledge of how to partner with developers, consumers and service providers to increase the resources to make our deaf housing project a reality.
